San Diego - ADVANCED XC / ALL MOUNTAIN RIDE
<<< ADVANCED EPIC RIDERS >>>

MARTHA'S GROVE w VALLEY LOOP / CARDIAC HILL / RoCkY RiDge
Thants right! All together!

Join us for a ride!
All Advanced XC riders are welcome. We do ask that a mutual respect is observed.

This ride is truly for Advanced riders only. While many parts are easy, the combination of all the sections will challenge the best of riders. If you are a weak climber, this is not a ride you’d enjoy. Cardiac would quickly become a name you may take literally. Furthermore this is absolutely NOT A RIDE TO BRING NEWBIES ON (that’s why we have beginner rides). This is a 20+mile Advanced ride; a newbie would be overwhelmed and miserable.

East Co. San Diego

Quote: Yeti_Rider from a post elswhere...

"The ride isn't really super advanced but it does get a bit long and the third quarter of the ride can get a bit challenging due to a lot of loose babyheads on the trail.
I would classify this particular loop as requiring advanced fitness and slightly better than intermediate skills. Not for newbs.

FYI, unless you're actually here in SD for a reason, I also wouldn't necessarily travel a great distance for this ride. It's fun if you live here but not necessarily worthy of a car trip just for riding. There are better trails for that."

Gimper4jc, Your ride sounds like alot of fun. Im not to filmilar with the Santee area. Im coming from Upland and after reading your post im not sure if its worth the drive.

Furthermore, How long will the ride take and about how many people typically show up for your rides? I typically ride alone but i am always looking for other enthusiast. Does your group typically only ride in San Diego?

        Thanks

If you’re driving all the way from Upland then this ride is NOT WORTH IT! You have some of the best mountains at your doorstep up there so coming here to ride MG/Sycamore Canyon would be a waste of time. I like MG/SC but it is not epic at all and worthy of an hour and a half drive. I more or less call it a workout loop for afterwork. I would assume you are looking for new trails since you are willing to travel all the way to Santee/Poway? Have you done any trails in SD County at all? If not then I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Noble Canyon. If NC is to far the SJT is a must do trail too.
