gobble gobble ride pic.
happy Thanksgiving everyone.
some of the Ghost's and I went from Kanan to Kanan this morning, skiped Castro so backtrack from Corral canyon. almost no dabs, no mechanicals and great group to ride with.
ran into a Flux and a few other T's, too much chi chi out there.
cheerios ;)

No, but I think I saw a group that I could join that rides it on the weekends. Now all I have to do is remember what site I saw them on. Are you one of the guys in the picture? Posted by KellyKat4 on 11/25/06

Our group rode as one 3 times this year, go figure <8~p
so unless you're into riding solo, or doing 6ooo calorie rides for the heck of it, or 80+ miles of beach path chumminess with margaritas in between, then I would not recommend it.
or maybe you're into taking naps while riding, (that's one of my favorites), sweet dreams and sheets of PO awaits you :)

Franky, that is so strange tha you posted this pic. We have a lecture today on the new short that Alexander Petrov (the image above is from his academy award winning short..all done in watercolors on glass. Every frame painted by him) created. Took him another 10 years. All in watercolor, and in Russian..no subtitles....... :) He'll be here discussing his work through a translator...pretty cool stuff..
Now back to your regularly scheduled riding/trolling posts...

ah, water colors.
they bring back some many good memories ... like the time I ran out of water balloons (tropical carnival's), so started trowing then nifty bottles at my friends, it was my early notion of Paint Ball, but chu know, with bigger black and blues., should have patented the darn things.
let's organize a mango fight, I'll bring green ones :) Posted by Freaky franky riding a pair or twatos from hell on 11/28/06

Hi Frank, I'm not sure if your responding to me, but if you are what wouldn't you recommend? Are you saying there are no beginning clubs or groups to ride with? Posted by KellyKat4 on 11/28/06

Hey KellyKat4, There's plenty of groups to ride with, but you have to be more specific. say, whereabouts, fitness level, etc.
Beginners classes at Malibu State Park (sponsored by CORBA ?), yet, within that park you'll find the mighty Bulldog climb or other less challenging rides.
Trails in Cheeseboro Park - Agoura Hills are excellent to learn on., various groups ride there and all sort of fitness levels as well as all sorts of terrain., you'll see at least 30 riders in any giving Saturday, 8ish seems to be a popular gathering time.
It all depends what you're looking for and how much of a sweat you're aiming to shed.
post a pic of your ride, do include a leg's shot too ;~) Posted by Freaky franky riding a pair or twatos from hell on 11/28/06

Thank you so much Freaky. I was getting a little discuraged, I was having a hard time finding anything. I looked at the COBRA website and now I'm excited again. One more thing you might be able to help me with. I'm looking for a bike. I was thinking used would be cheeper, but I was looking at a new TREK bike. Is this a good bike for a beginner? Would you recomend something else? Posted by KellyKat4 on 11/28/06

- Re: gobble gobble ride pic.
you're welcome man.
with todays prices you may as well go with a full suspension rig., sub 30lbs will be ideal. 4 inches worth of travel should accommodate most SoCal trails. $ 500 and up will get you quality parts, perhaps an '02 to '04 rig.
