Looking for a Triatholon in Canada
I am looking for triatholons in Canada between June and October of 2001. This will be my first triatholon and I don't want something too tough, but really want to try it. Does anyone know where I can find a listing of triatholons or more information?

I don't live in Ca. Click on the supplied link and it will take you to Trifind.com; there you choose Canada. It's on the left side menu.
    I hope this helps.

    Hi Fazila,
How about the Spin on Spadina Triathlon in Saskatoon Sk Canada on June 17th. This features a 1500 pool swim (great way to do your first race), 40km bike and 10km along the scenic South Saskatchewan river in the heart of the city of Sasktoon. Both bike and run are fairly flat - making it quite a fast course. There is also a shorter distance 750m/20km/5km. You can find more information at http://www.triathlonsaskatchewan.org or http://www.vsource.com/STCI. Also go to www.triathloncanada.com to find other races in canada

Hey Fazila, I was in Whistler B.C. last year for the Xterra triathlon series. Since then, for some strange reason Xterra dropped that race from their venue, but that doesn't mean that that triathlon won't be held this year. It could have another promotor or sponcer. Anyway, call the Whistler Ski Resort or Chamber of Com.and ask. Triathlon is tons of fun with lots of good natured people involved. Make sure your training inclueds bike to run transitions. Get a heart monitor. Don't overtrain. Don't worry about the swim, it always flies by. Rest, rest, rest a week before the race. Have fun! Your first victory begins at the starting line.
